Welcome to Cathal’s Cookbook Allergy Free Cooking!

My name is Marie and I would like to share my allergy free recipes with any of you who find yourselves in the same situation as I did. My little boy Cathal, was born with severe and multiple food allergies, and severe eczema (both are commonly linked). You can read his story @ http://cathalscookbookallergyfree.com/cathals-story/.

All the recipes are wheat free, gluten free, dairy free, egg free and nut free, and all are my own creations.

My overall message to new “Allergy Parents” is, DON’T GIVE UP!
As a parent, you will need to trust your natural instincts about your child, particularly what treatment is working and what treatment is not working.

I hope you find my website helpful and encouraging. Please feel free to contact me about any of my posts, or allergy free recipes.

Please send me your feedback on my recipes, I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Marie. Just discover your website. Looking forward to trying some of the recipes but can you recommend a brand or type of flour. I can’t have rice as well as wheat, gluten, soya, egg , or dairy

    • Hi Sandra, you are very welcome to my site. Here is a mix of flour that works very well and its rice free also. you will get all these flours in a good Health-food shop. 1 cup medium maize, 1/2 cup sorghum flour, 1/2 cup potato flour, 1/2 cup tapioca, 1/4 cup buckwheat or millet flour, 2tsp xanthan gum. When I’m making cakes I add coconut flour instead of the buckwheat.
I hope this is of some help.

  6. Find this really helpful would love to buy your book if there is one? My 2 year old has a nut allergy and latley I’m finding that EVERYTHING has a “May Contain traces of nuts” warning on it!!! It’s driving me mad!! Does this mean my son can or can’t have it? It’s not something I would ever take a chance on but are food producers putting this on evry packet and every jst just to cover themselves or is there really a chance of my son having a reaction? I’m finding it so hard to make dinners for him because nearly all the sauces etc that I cook with for me and partner say they may contain traces of nut!!! Bamboozled by it all!! 😦

  7. Hi Anna, sorry to hear your little one has allergies. You are welcome to my site. I know it can be very stressful when reading labels. 8. Marie, thanks so much for all your hard work on this page and your fantastic & delicious recipes. My son Ethan 19 months was so ill for a five months, I’m Irish as you can tell by the name lol but we live in NY and many procedures and sickness and $60,000 worth of medical bills and still no answers until I found the Eileen Clair holistic health clinic in Co Clare! That’s right I had to send a piece of my son’s hair back to Ireland to find out all my problems ! He is severely intolerant to Dairy, yeast, oats, peanuts, MSG & garlic ! He too had eczema but thankfully I am a member of the Foreverliving Family and their Propolis cream which is a bee propolis (taken from inside bee hives & extremely sterilie) mixed with vitamins and herbs and aloe Vera worked wonders on his skin! I don’t mean to go on but my son suffered from Clostridium Difficle twice as a result of the sickness so he had diarrhea every 30 mins on bad days even in his sleep! Anyways the propolis saved my tears & his as well as the Eileen Clair clinic. I am not affiliated with them but owe them my sanity! Anyone who want to see before and after pics of Ethan rashes and eczema I can PM. Thank you for all you do and keep it up. You have made life a lot easier for all us allergy mums not just in Ireland but across the pond in the states too. Anyone who wants to know more about this all natural cream can PM me also. Take care 🙏😊👍💜
